I wanna build a computer. A good one.

I have a decent comp, which I can give to my brother once I get a new one...

I don't know about computer building, but I have looked through prices of parts and picked some out. But, since I have never done it before, some parts might not be compatable, or I might of missed a vital component lol..

but, crap that is something I don't know.. How to install OS when the comp is all set up... I guess just insert installation disc on start-up?

OS's are easy to install. It's more straightforward that putting on a condom.

I'd get a better motherboard, Asus have great ones but are quite expensive.
Also the quad chips are REALLY cheap now. I bought my Q6600 for around 320USD and now its half of that.

yea you put the cd in and do the install,also you need the drivers otherwise your pc may not work as its supposed to,there is driver magician in vip where it backs up all the drivers:

but to be safe back them up on a usb stick in more than 1 way like different methods

xp only uses 4gb of ram. so u are wasting ur money buying 8gb (unless u are using 64bit xp)
